Fatherhood Program
HELPING FATHERS LEARN AND GROW FOR FAMILY SUCCESS
Northern Kentucky CAC’s Fatherhood Program helps fathers and father figures grow closer to their children, learn how to be better partners, and take steps to increase their financial stability. Trained case managers and facilitators will work with fathers in both one-on-one and group settings to set and meet goals. Group education will cover responsible parenting, healthy relationships, and economic stability, with an optional workforce development class.
The Fatherhood Program will serve participants through a series of 34 hours of workshops focused on responsible parenting, healthy relationships, economic stability, and case management. Throughout the workshops, program participants will receive at least eight case management sessions based on an agreed-upon individual development plan between them and their case manager. Trained case managers will offer one-on-one support customized to client needs, circumstances, and values and provide referrals to participants for other services as needed. Child-care assistance and transportation for attendance may also be available.
Sample topics include: Creating a budget, building/rebuilding credit, communication, co-parenting, discipline, personality and love styles, forgiveness, commitment, and many more!
Anyone who is a single-parent head of the household father, father in two-parent families, and/or custodial fathers (including father figures, adoptive fathers, step-fathers, and grandfathers) and is 18 years or older; resides in the eight-county service area, and has children ages 0-24, or is expecting, is eligible for this program.
